Wonderful.

I simply love this. The first time I watched these episodes were in 2008, and it still makes me laugh, despite the simple art. The humor was especially funny, especially because of Cactuar's stupidity. I'll elaborate later.

The graphics / art: It's actually good! It's simple, yet looks nice. Cactuar, Tonberry and the cops are drawn wonderfully. Despite its simplicity, it's strangely not homely. Good job on that.

The sound: The voice acting's not bad, but great! Tonberry's voice fits him and Cactuar's grainy voice just boosts the funniness of the movie; his "derp" moments are also funny especially because of his voice. The "music accompanyment" was also well placed and animated.

The storyline: Every episode I've seen from you is simply great. It gives justice to the word "comedy", and I don't know how you think of such jokes, since I've never thought of them before! The one-liners are also great! ("Praise be to commercialism!")

It's a wonderful flash, even in 2011. Even after 7 years...everyone still likes this, including me. If only you'd continue with the series..sigh.

But as a final note, I'd like to write the "extended" version of the "I'm too stupid" song Cactuar sang:

I'm too stupid for the book, too stupid for the book
can't even have a look
I'm too stupid for the smith, too stupid for the smith
Agent Smith! (I'm watching Barney)
I'm too stupid for the window, too stupid for the window
can't even take a peek
I'm too stupid for the table, too stupid for the table
can't even sit on it
I'm too stupid for the TV, too stupid for the TV
can't even watch the TV
I'm too stupid for Tonberry, too stupid for Tonberry
can't even talk to him

Hopefully you'll restart this series some time late 2013, because we all want MORE!

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Simplistic, yet great art (even after 7 years)
2) Nice voice acting, sound
3) Funny humor and one-liners ("England....land of Harry Potter...and TRUFFLES!")
4) Nice storyline

~~ Bad points ~~
1) We want more episodes!

1 for effort

Now, I see why this deserved the turd of the week; it's too bad! I'm not going to go around wondering why this passed judgement or things like that; rather, why it is bad and what could be done to improve it.

The graphics: Bad, man, terrible. It's just a bad couple of brush strokes with some extra scribbles for the buildings, and a presumable "slide" drawn with a yellow fill and a gray outline. The character is a bit better...compared to a mere stick figure.

The storyline: For those of you who don't know the full title, it's "Alan goes to Chuck E. Cheese's". It seems like a good plot, but no, it's just a sad botched implementation. It's just a person falling down the said slide, going "whoops".

The animation: This is about the only good thing here. It's a person falling down, yes, but thankfully the motion tweens by Flash were good. It could be improved, though, but then again, there's no storyline to back it up.

The sound: "Oops". By Microsoft Sam. Not very good, I must say. The voice in itself is bad, and the quality of it is worse.

Suggestions? You could've extended the storyline, made it into something like a documentary wherein an imaginary person goes to chuck e. cheese's and then learns about it. But that's your choice, and it's all right with me if you got a good mark in your AP animation 3 class. But please don't upload it here on Newgrounds, the standards here are higher than said animation class.

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) That's about it.

~~ Bad points ~~
1) Bad sound
2) Bad animation
3) Horrible art
4) Poor storyline

Good

I frankly liked this year's Sketch Collab, but then again I never did watch last year's, or the year before. Anyways, moving on...it was one I enjoyed watching.

The animation: All of them were good, some of them smooth and fluid; I don't want to pick favorites, but I guess I'll do so anyway :P My favorite was zeebrafication's and AirFaerie95's, and my vote would've gone to Kashi's part, but after the initial "intro", it just kind of deteriorated and made the rest of his/her animation look bad.

The graphics: It may bug me that it's sketchy-like, but some parts where they were colored in rather than having lines drawn across them were good. Then again, it's the Sketch Collab. In one word: Great. Well, by some. Others weren't that good.

The music: Well, it fitted nicely for all the animations, and was, all in all, a good choice of music; it helped create an atmosphere that fitted the animations almost perfectly.

The only reason I gave it a 9 and not a 10 was because some people's animation [parts] weren't up to the level of others, but then again it's a collab, and I've never participated in one, so what can I say about it? I don't know.

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Some users' parts were great
2) Nice choice of music
3) Fluid animation
4) Good-looking art (at some points)

~~ Bad points ~~
1) Relatively bad-looking art (at some points; not bad, but simply not as good as others')
2) "Breaking" animation at some points for some users' parts

Hah

This is a great piece. It was funny, and gave (an accurate?) depiction of how Canas was broken into; the voice acting was mediocre in the beginning , but near the end it was loud, and the quality becoming worse.

But that actually helped add to the funniness of the overall flash. Initially, I thought it was going to be a horror-kind of movie, but later on the voices and the plot just made me laugh. Congrats, your goal has been achieved.

The art isn't that bad, but neither is it good -- mostly it's just some images, along with Strawberryclock and the other clock. I liked the pot breaking effect, though.

The animation was smooth, and while it wasn't exactly top-notch, it was good enough to make the viewer understand what was actually going on, I'll give you that.

All in all, it was a funny flash - I couldn't stop laughing for the first time - and hopefully shed a new light on the Canas incident, even if this was just intended to be a satirical piece.

The only bad thing I can think of is that it's too short.

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Funny

~~ Neutral points ~~
2) Okay animation
3) Okay art

~~ Bad points ~~
1) Short

Nice

It made me laugh. Considering I don't laugh a lot, that is an achievement. The art was wonderfully drawn -- especially Nyan Cat; I had not seen any Nyan Cats drawn better than this -- and the creeper near the end was unexpected. The music was also nice. Kudos to the author.

All in all, I got some good entertainment out of this. It was short, but sweet.

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Nicely drawn
2) Nicely chosen music
3) Unexpected, but nice, ending

~~ Bad points ~~
1) It's too short, but I don't know if that's good or bad.

Great

I don't give a lot of 10s nowadays, and that's a compliment ;) I'll elaborate on the points of this movie later, but I'll tell you this: it was indeed wonderful.

The art: The art was done wonderfully, with the full emotions of StrawberryClock being displayed as he saw the face of the grim reaper (clock?); I could very much make out the different emotions he felt: Horror, joy and suspense while SBC was waiting. The grim reaper and the stork, along with the backgrounds were drawn very nicely indeed; I don't know how you managed to pull off the shading bit but it's wonderful. I'm way far from being an art expert, and I can't draw to save my life, but I thought this was great indeed.

The music: The music...hmm, let's see, the music. It fit well with the movie; it also helped supplement the emotions SBC was experiencing and built up suspense when required, and slowed down the pace when not. A very nice choice of music indeed.

The animation: The animation was fluid and smooth; it was, in my opinion, flawless, although you could improve on the dog's part -- I just saw the dog turning around and walking, with no walk animation, but rather just....floating on the topsoil. Nevertheless, overall, it was wonderfully animated.

The story: I see SBC standing on a hook, waiting, when a flashback plays; he faces the grim reaper, and tries desperately to escape from him, and near the end, he does escape from him, but there's a small hiccup -- he realizes death will always come, whether or not you escape from the grim reaper. A very nice storyline indeed, and of the first I've seen. The time is also balanced, with it being neither too short or too long. Good job.

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Nice art
2) Fluid animation
3) Lovely music
4) Great storyline
5) Not too short, not too long

~~ Bad points ~~
None that I can think of.

Merol responds:

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

You may continue it.

One thing I liked about this was that even though you used sprites, you hand-drew the shoes and other parts of Sonic at close-up. Even so, it's not that good, but it's worthy of finishing.

The animation: Well, there was nothing to say about this, was it? Just some two Sonics standing a distance apart from each other, a close up of their shoes each, them colliding, and a coming soon splash. Not exactly good for a trailer, seeing as you have to include more action, y'know? I understand it's unfinished, but that's no excuse for a poor trailer.

The music: Uhm. The music only plays up to a point, and it's not that bad really, it helps build up tension about the seemingly "epic" battle between Sonic and ???. However, that's just about it.

The story: There's nothing explained as far as I can understand here. All I know of currently is that there's two Sonics battling between each other. There's nothing else revealed, maybe that was intentional, but for me, that's not very good. I know almost nothing about this in terms of storyline.

The problem is, you shouldn't normally upload tests to the Flash Portal. That's the reason why Tom introduced the Dumping Grounds, so that people could put their files there and get feedback from other fellow artists. Probably you did this on purpose, but I'm betting that the chances are slim, and you probably didn't know about the Dumping Grounds before.
Anyways, continue it if you want, it looks pretty okay so far.

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Nice hand-drawing (apart from sprites)
2) Okay music

~~ Bad points ~~
1) Too short
2) No storyline
3) Poor trailer; could've included more content

Nice

I'm just going to go ahead and say that this was great, but I'll elaborate later:

The art: It was good -- even though it was a simple picture of a radio-ish creature dancing, you managed to pull that off well. I liked the part where "clockradio" did a split -- the 3d-ish feel was represented very nicely.

The music: Ah, in a music video the music is the dominating factor above the art, above everything else, even though art and animation play a crucial role. The music was fast-paced yet relaxing at points, and it was just sweet.

The animation: Fluid, very smooth, many ways for the word great. Even though it may be nothing more than a radio dancing, it's a very impressive animation style at that, and the background animation is just plain wonderful. It helps me get in the mood, y'know? Even though it is a loop, it transitions wonderfully; I didn't even know it was a loop until now!

Life is good, man. Life is good.

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Nice art
2) Fluid animation
3) Nice music
4) Transitions beautifully
5) Simple

~~ Bad points ~~
None. There's nothing that I can say that's bad about this, except for the fact that maybe it's a loop.

Foxcato responds:

Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it.

Good

The voice acting was great, and I liked the fact that it was funny. Although the animation's not exactly smooth, it is interpretable. The art is okay, and I find it strange that it is somewhere near the style of Eddsworld, although it's nowhere near that quality, it is good.

The arm movement, however, was strange. It's almost as if he was a contortionist, the son. The fire from the jetpack was also wonky -- I don't think it's supposed to be tilted that way. Some parts didn't make sense to me, and some objects were overlapping others that contained info such as the sign (it was covered by the person)

However, I, for the most part liked it a lot. Keep up the good job!

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Nice voice acting
2) Funny
3) Somewhat nice art

~~ Bad points ~~
1) Wonky movement
2) Some parts didn't make sense to me
3) Overlapping of some clips

brynimation responds:

Yeah. I've been told by alot of people that my animation needs improvment.
But I am quite young to be animating. Also I wanted to make it near to the style of eddsworld and I know that the quality is alot worse than eddsworld.
But I am improving.

Okay, I guess

The animation was fluid, and don't misunderstand me, but I didn't like this thing very much. Why? Because parts of the person weren't drawn very well, or they weren't given much attention to. I'll start with the head.

The head was rather badly drawn, with it moving only once in a while; it's staring in one direction constantly, and suddenly, there's a jerky movement to the left. That might be due to the fact that it's restarting, but if you're aiming for a loop, it should transition smoothly from the beginning to the end, and the end frame should be the same as the start if it is to be convincing.

Then, the hands and the pockets. The hands don't look like they're in the pockets, and I've come to the conclusion that he's putting his hands in his pockets only because he's holding them in that position. If his hands were in another position, I very much doubt I'd think there were any pockets at all! The hands were stuck in the said pockets, and they didn't move at all -- they may move a little during normal human movement, and if they were in the pockets, they'd be a little too close to the camera, I mean, pockets are supposed to be near the side of the pants, right? These are absurdly near the front, and the top
part of the pocket looks a bit like the folded up hand.

Then, on to the legs! These are the main part of the animation in this case, and you pulled it off really well. I doubt I'd be able to animate this -- it does look drawn and animated really nice indeed. However, the legs become bigger than the rest of the body in some parts of the movie. I realise that the legs are becoming bigger because they're near said camera, but they're a little too big. Look at the knees of the left side of the person, and compare that with the right. They're smaller. That's not allowed, because technically the left leg is the same distance away from the camera as the right leg.

However, I doubt that I could do better than this, and I'm no animation expert, just giving my 2 cents. This, overall, does look very nice indeed! It's not bad at all for a first full-body animation!

~~ Summary ~~

~~ Good points ~~
1) Fluid animation
2) Nicely drawn art
3) Not bad for a first full-body animation

~~ Bad points ~~
1) Transition from beginning to end is not smooth
2) Hands don't look like they're in the presumed pockets
3) Arms are comparatively stiff compared to the rest of the animation
4) Legs are relatively bigger than the rest of the body, regardless of perspective

GZento responds:

I fully understand your opinion, and I think its a good one, thank you for giving such great criticism! :)
